SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, and more specifically, to containers. The universal shipping container consists of a main body and roll-out racks. At least one of the sides of the container is easily collapsible, representing protective shutters. Racks are divided by walls into cells. Non-adjacent side walls of the cells are made folding. The racks are installed in at least four retractable telescopic rails spaced in pairs along the height of the container. The racks are equipped with limiters for forward and reverse movement, made in the form of pawls of a bidirectional linear ratchet mechanism. The length of any cell is a multiple of the pitch of the gear rack of the linear ratchet mechanism, and the pitch of the gear rack teeth is no more than the length of the smallest cell.
EFFECT: improved usability is achieved.
