FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates in particular to ensuring performance of off-road vehicles designed to operate in the climatic conditions of Siberia, the Far North and the Arctic. The proposed method is based on simultaneously using a device for improving the quality of diesel fuel 1, which is installed in the fuel system of an internal combustion engine between the final filter and the fuel pump, as well as device 3 for heating batteries, which is installed in the engine cooling system between the heater boiler and the coolant outlet pipe to the cylinder block, when operating means of technical flight support (such as refuelling tanker T3-22M) in Arctic conditions.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the time of warm-up and start-up of power units of aerodrome support facilities by activating the fuel coming from the fuel tank, thereby achieving a more complete oxidation of the fuel with oxygen, and by heating the battery compartment from the engine cooling system by means of a battery heating device, it allows to increase the energy consumption of batteries.
