FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: heating and cooling device contains a heating and cooling plate, which can be connected to the human body. The heating and cooling plate has an upper side and a lower side, and an adhesive surface is provided on the lower side for attachment of the heating and cooling plate to the human skin. The heating and cooling plate contains at least one heating and cooling element, using which electrical energy generated with an electrical energy source can be converted into heat and cold energy. The heating and cooling device additionally contains a control unit, which is made with the possibility of fixed or detachable placement of the energy source, and it contains a signal processing processor. The control unit is made with the possibility of output of a control signal with an open loop and/or a closed loop, by means of which it is possible to control energy output from the energy source to the heating and cooling element. A system for heat and cold energy delivery to the human body, a method for control of a heating and/or cooling device with an open and closed loop, and a machine-readable carrier with a program code for implementing the method are disclosed.
