SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of physiotherapy, in particular to cold therapy, and is intended for use in sports after intense exercise. In the method, the device for cold therapy contains a means, such as a nozzle, for producing mist from a liquid supplied to the device and spraying a jet of mist in the direction of the surface area of a treated object to cool it. Sauter mean diameter of the mist is not more than 150 microns. Said device comprises at least one holder carrying at least one nozzle connected to a fluid supply system and configured to spray mist in a desired direction.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to produce a wide stream of mist to affect the whole body or its various parts.
