FIELD: ultrahigh frequency technology.
SUBSTANCE: The invention is designed for multiplying the frequency of microwave signals in communication systems, radar, radio navigation, various measuring and special radio equipment. The frequency doubler on a thin magnetic film additionally contains two quarter–wave microstrip resonators one of which is the input and the other is the output. One end of the strip conductor of each of the microstrip resonators is connected to a metal base. The width and length of the input resonator are selected in such a way that the resonant frequency of its first mode of oscillation is equal to ƒ1, the resonant frequency of the second mode of oscillation exceeds 2 ƒ1. The width and length of the output resonator are selected in such a way that the resonant frequency of its first mode of oscillation is equal to 2 ƒ1. The input resonator together with an irregular quarter-wave resonator form an input filter, the central frequency of the working band of which is ƒ1. The output resonator together with an irregular quarter-wave resonator form an output filter, the central frequency of the working band of which is 2 ƒ1.
EFFECT: The present invention enables to expand the operating frequency band.
