FIELD: graphite processing technology.
SUBSTANCE: reactor graphite purification technology to be used in its manufacture and/or processing. Reactor graphite is preliminarily placed in distilled water, where it is impregnated. At the same time, various impurities are leached at a temperature of (20-30)°C. Then the reactor graphite impregnated with distilled water is placed in a sealed chamber, in which a vacuum is created up to (10-5-10-3) mmHg. The reactor graphite is exposed to microwave radiation with a frequency of (915-2450) MHz for (3-10) minutes while continuously pumping the gaseous products from the chamber. After the specified time has elapsed, pumping is stopped, an inert gas is introduced until atmospheric pressure is reached and pumped until a temperature (20-30)°C is reached inside the chamber, after which the pumping of the inert gas is stopped, and the reactor graphite is removed from the chamber.
EFFECT: reducing the cleaning time and the weight losses of reactor graphite during the process.
