FIELD: nuclear technology.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus relates to the field of nuclear technology and can be used for purification and decontamination of metal structural elements of nuclear power plants and irradiated graphite stacks of reactors. The apparatus comprises a body, a dielectric cover, and a replaceable anode in the shape of a plate geometrically similar to the selected section of the decontaminated surface, an electrical plasma power supply system connected to the anode, the negative pole whereof is connected with the decontaminated surface, which is a cathode, an elastic liner installed along the perimeter of the body and sealing the space between the body and the decontaminated surface, an input system, and a working gas pumping system, a manipulator for moving the apparatus along the selected sections of the decontaminated surface. The anode is installed with a gap from the decontaminated surface. The system for pumping the working gas from the gap between the anode and the cathode is connected with one or more holes in the anode.
EFFECT: invention ensures removal of surface radiation contamination and can be used during scheduled repairs or during decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
