SUBSTANCE: air flow control device comprises at least one panel (2) configured to be connected to the air inflow opening of the engine compartment of the vehicle and movable between a closed position and a position for opening the air inflow opening; a drive module (3) configured to apply a predetermined traction force, and a transmission device (4) configured to transfer the traction force from the drive module (3) to the panel (2) to move the panel from the closed position to the open position and vice versa . The drive module (3) comprises at least one actuator (5) made of a shape memory alloy such that a thrust force is applied when the actuator (5) reaches a predetermined temperature.
EFFECT: simplification of the design, lightening the weight and facilitating control, and maintaining the reliability of the design.
