SEAT TENSION ADJUSTER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry; car or accessories; seat belts in which tension spring is coupled with part of seat belt, for instance, its lock, through stop. SUBSTANCE: seat belt tension adjuster has tension spring whose effort, under normal driving conditions, is taken by lever. Additional end lever reduces the effort which acts onto roller and after roller, onto stop member, then on roller and at last on support. Stop member is included into pusher which is brought out of zone between rollers in case of deceleration, overcoming the resistance of control spring. Thanks to it, if preset value of deceleration is exceeded, roller is moved from side surface of stop member, system of levers turns and releases drive cable of tension spring. Tension spring, through return stop, entrains belt lock downwards, thus providing tensioning of belt. EFFECT: improved safety. 15 cl, 9 dwg
