FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates in particular to extraction of lithium ions from a lithium-containing salt solution. Includes contacting a lithium-containing brine with lithium-ion sieves, which contain titanium or niobium oxide, in the first reactor during stirring to form lithium ions with lithium-ion sieves. Destruction of the complex of lithium ions with lithium-ion sieves in the second reactor with stirring with the formation of directly lithium-ion sieves and an acid solution of lithium salt eluate, separation of lithium-ion sieves from an acid solution of lithium salt eluate, contacting of lithium-ion sieves with water after decomplexation in the second reactor for obtaining regenerated lithium-ion sieves and washing with dilute acid. The pH time of the first reactor is kept constant by adding a base such as anhydrous ammonia or ammonium hydroxide, or by adding a base which is sodium hydroxide at a concentration of less than 8% by weight. EFFECT: invention makes it possible to carry out the process of extracting lithium ions continuously, using additional washing steps.
