FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: head of the hip joint endoprosthesis consists of two elements, external and internal, the outer one of which contains a blind cylindrical hole in the base and is made entirely of alumina ceramics with an outer spherical surface. An internal element of the head is installed in the specified hole — a metal sleeve made of titanium alloy VT1-0, of an outer cylindrical shape with an internal axial conical through hole, and high-temperature soldering is used for the fixed mating of these two head elements. The side surface of the inner blind hole of the outer element contains a relief, while the end of the metal bushing mating inside with the hole of the outer element is made blind with a similar shape, and the bushing contains an axial blind conical hole. The head elements are installed between each other in a hole with a gap in the range of 50–200 micrometers both along the side surface and inside at the end of the sleeve to fill it with biocompatible solder placed in a blind hole in the ceramic element under the end of the sleeve and containing titanium and zirconium in order to connect the elements of the head to each other motionlessly by means of high-temperature soldering.
EFFECT: invention improves the patient's quality of life by increasing the service life of the entire endoprosthesis.
