FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: roentgen diagnostics and sports medicine, used to diagnose m.quadriceps EIMD syndrome. Before and after physical activity, an ultrasound examination is performed to determine the thickness of the epimysium, perimysium, m.quadriceps muscle bundles, the thickness of the m.quadriceps common tendon and the proper patellar ligament and assess the blood flow velocity of the deep femoral vein. At the same time, the thickness of the epimysium, perimysium, m.quadriceps muscle bundles is measured by installing the sensor in the anterior longitudinal position in the projection of the middle third of the thigh with the sensor moving distally and longitudinally along the abdomen of the muscle under study in increments of 0.3 cm. The thickness of the muscle bundles, the thickness of the common tendon of quadriceps femoris and own ligament of the patella at the level of the middle third of the heads m.vastus medialis m.vastus lateralis are measured. The blood flow velocity of the deep femoral vein is assessed using color Doppler mapping at the level of its middle third along the medial surface during hip abduction. Physical activity consists in performing a leg press in the simulator in 6 sets of 12 reps with a weight of 80% of the rep maximum and 2 lead-up sets with a weight of 30% of the rep maximum for 8 reps and 50% of the rep maximum for 6 reps, work time in the approach 45-50 seconds. With an increase in the thickness of the epimysium by 50%, perimysium by 40%, m.quadriceps muscle bundles by 35%, an increase in the blood flow velocity of the deep femoral vein from 20 to 60%, an increase in the thickness of the m.quadriceps common tendon and the own patellar ligament by 40%, EIMD-syndrome of m.quadriceps is diagnosed.
EFFECT: expanding the range of methods for diagnosing m.quadriceps EIMD-syndrome, early diagnosis of changes in the muscles of the lower extremities, including in athletes during the training process, due to the stated ultrasonic diagnostic criteria.
