FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and neurology. Based on the results of MRI of soft tissues of the trunk and extremities, a region for biopsy is selected. Linear skin incision is made in a projection of the changed muscle under local anaesthesia. Visualized muscle is picked up by an L-shaped hook with a blunt end and separated over length of 1 cm. Suture is passed under the selected area of muscle and fixed. Proximal and distal ends of the ligature-fixed portion of the muscle are transected. Incision is closed. Preparation is placed in a container with a napkin moistened with physiological saline solution and delivered within an hour to a pathomorphological laboratory; histological examination of the native unfixed preparation is carried out.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the exact localization of pathologically changed muscles, to provide atraumatic production of the optimal amount of material for morphological examination, to improve diagnostics and differential diagnostics of muscular dystrophies in the given group of patients, to exclude the necessity to stay in a surgical hospital.
