FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: truss reinforcing cage for replacement of a removed disc during surgery on the cervical spine, performed by an anterior approach, contains a frame consisting of two main elements and elements connecting the main elements to each other. The main elements are upper and lower trapezoidal frames with rounded corners, and the elements connecting them are made in the form of front, rear and side walls. Round holes are made at the corners at the junctions of the faces with each other. The front wall is made with one round hole in the center, with two small square holes located one at a time near the round holes at the corners, and also with two large square holes, inside which the struts are located. Warren trusses are made in the middle of other side walls parallel to each other, and the rear wall is made solid in the middle, and holes with struts are made in it on different sides with respect to the solid part. In the middle of the cage, in the same plane as the upper frame, there is a ridge with teeth facing upwards, connected to the upper and lower frames by means of beams and rafters. On the back wall there is an internal non-through hole corresponding to the central hole on the front wall. The jig-injector for installing and filling the truss reinforcing cage includes a hollow stem spike and a stem connected to it. Hooks are U-shaped on the spike. The rod is connected to a cylindrical reservoir, which is equipped with a plug and a piston with a handle. The hollow spike has the possibility of dipping through the hole in the center of the front wall of the frame and resting against the rear wall of the frame. The hooks can be retracted into a hollow spike to fit into large square holes and retracted to hold the cage. The rod has the ability to rest against the front wall of the frame. Piston handle is rotatable to release cement from reservoir through stem spike.
EFFECT: improving fixation reliability, as well as provision of axial load damping and osteoinductive properties.
