SUBSTANCE: measuring equipment in the field of diagnostics of cylindrical and spherical tanks. Invention can be used to assess the residual life of the tank wall by low-cycle fatigue. The device contains a light guide installed on the belts of the outer wall of the tank, coupled with a computer-based computing system for taking and processing readings in real time. The light guide consists of a silicone tube, aluminium foil, diffusing lenses, surrounded by a heat shrink tube, which is necessary to exclude the possible influence of external lighting, as well as mechanical damage to the light guide. It is possible to use a protective case to protect against high and low temperatures.

EFFECT: measurement of the actual curvature of the tank wall in real time.
