FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: photo-electronic system contains computer, photo-electronic block with two photo-receiving devices, optical blocks of photo-receiving devices. Optical blocks are made with possible adjustment on calibration stand. Each optical block includes several one-type photo-diodes and a lens. Lents is made cylindrical. Method includes using photo-electric system on basis of computer, photo-electronic block with two photo-receiving devices. In each photo-receiving device several one-type photo-diodes are used and a cylindrical lens. Shields are mounted on ends of lens. Speed measuring module is mounted in photo-electronic block. When object appears above photo-element system, by means of comparator object speed measuring process is launched. From photo-electronic block individual digital form object speed measurement results are transferred to computer.

EFFECT: increased precision of measurements and increased sensitivity of photo-electronic system, expanded area of blocking zone.
