FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: arc protection system contains four fiber-optic sensors (FOS), consisting of a photodiode (PD) and a light-emitting diode (LED), and four electromagnetic field strength sensors - Hall sensors, the signals from which are converted into discrete ones and fed to the unit of discrete inputs and outputs (BDVV) of microprocessor for processing. The status of the monitored device is displayed on the display unit via the communication interface. The read data is written to read-only memory (ROM) for analysis from the received data of the current at the time of occurrence of the arc fault and the duration of the arc fault. The arc is extinguished by supplying a dielectric gas-air mixture to the place of arc burning, supplied by means of a normally closed valve of indirect action and a connected cylinder with a safe dielectric gas-air mixture - Freon, through a hose system to each device. Disconnection of the current-carrying part of the busbars is carried out when a certain signal processed by the processor comes to the relay protection devices of the automation busbars.

EFFECT: increase in noise immunity and a decrease in the number of false positives in integrated switchgear (KRU) 6-35 kV.
