FIELD: ceramic materials science.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the production of a low-conductivity vacuum-tight ceramic material for use in electronic engineering as an element of a vacuum system for removing static charge, and also as a component of structural ceramics. Vacuum-tight low-conductivity ceramic material based on aluminium oxide additionally contains BaO, Fe2O3 , Li2 O in the following ratio, wt. %: Al2O3 61,7; BaO 18,5; Fe2O3 19,4; Li2О 0.4. A method for producing a vacuum-tight, low-conductivity ceramic material, consists in the fact that a powder composition is prepared from the above composition, mechanical activation of the composition is carried out in a centrifugal planetary mill, moulding sand is obtained by mixing the powder composition with distilled water, the moisture content of the moulding sand is adjusted to 9%, blanks are moulded by semi-dry pressing at a pressure of 200 MPa, dried at a temperature of 200°C to a residual moisture content of not more than 4%. After drying, heat treatment of blanks is carried out at a temperature of 1600°C for at least 2 hours in air.
EFFECT: technical result of the proposed technical solution is to reduce the technological complexity of the method and its energy consumption. The finished ceramic material has an electrical conductivity of 1.50·10−7-1.05·10−4 S/cm and a helium leakage rate at a test duration of 30 min <5·10-10 mbar·l/s.
