FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in livestock industrial complexes, small commercial farms with different technologies for keeping animals, in breeding and farming enterprises. The method for increasing the adaptive capacity of calves includes introducing a phytonutrient source of ursolic acid into the main diet, which is a dry extract of cranberry meal in doses of 100–400.0 mg per day per head for 10 days before transfer to the main group and 10 days after transfer.
EFFECT: proposed method for increasing the adaptive capacity of calves provides for the use of vegetable raw materials, which are a source of ursolic acid, to increase the stress resistance of calves, normalize metabolism and increase live weight gain.
