FIELD: smoking devices.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to aerosol delivery apparatuses such as smoking articles, and, in particular, to aerosol delivery apparatuses capable of utilising the heat generated by electricity to produce an aerosol (e.g., to smoking articles usually referred to as electronic cigarettes). The aerosol delivery apparatus comprises a casing formed at least partially by an external wall; a flow tube located inside relative to the external wall of the casing and containing at least one ventilation passage made in the wall thereof and configured to ensure the passage of air flow through said passage and essentially prevent the passage of a liquid flow through said passage; a space formed between the external wall of the casing and the flow tube, wherein the space is configured to retain the liquid composition of an aerosol precursor; a path for an air flow through the apparatus between the connecting end of the casing and the mouthpiece end of the casing, passing at least partially through the flow tube; an atomiser formed by a heater combined with a ceramic wick, wherein the ceramic wick is in sealing interaction with the flow tube so that at least part of the ceramic wick is in the path for an air flow, and at least part of the ceramic wick is in fluid communication with the space formed between the external wall of the casing and the flow tube; and a sealing element located between the ceramic wick and the flow tube and configured to form sealing interaction.

EFFECT: provided vapour-forming unit of an aerosol delivery apparatus configured to ensure improved vapour formation and/or improved integration into the power supply unit, as well as provided aerosol delivery apparatuses manufactured using such vapour-forming units.
