SUBSTANCE: invention relates to 3D scanners with data acquisition feedback. The 3D scanner comprises a body; one or more lasers, one or more optical sensors, one or more processors housed and in communication with one or more lasers and one or more optical sensors; a memory storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the 3D scanner to generate data corresponding to the 3D shape of the surface of an object, by means of re-executing operations: projecting, using one or more lasers, structured light towards the surface of the object, and one or more lasers are configured to function as light sources of class 1 outside of the specified housing; the 3D scanner has a size smaller than 30×30×30cm, and the minimum working distance of the 3D scanner does not exceed 35 mm.

EFFECT: technical result – improvement providing feedback on data collection during the acquisition of 3D scanning data, improving the efficiency, effectiveness, safety of using a handheld 3D scanner, user satisfaction.
