FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: aviation; aerodynamic testing of models of air intake devices. Invention relates to a device for studying the characteristics of the flow at the inlet to an auxiliary gas turbine engine and other studies under specified operating conditions of the aircraft. The model of the air intake device of the auxiliary power unit of an aircraft for testing in a wind tunnel is an additional compartment in the dimensions of the flow part of the wind tunnel nozzle, which is easily installed on the cut of the wind tunnel nozzle, and contains a surface that imitates the tail section of the aircraft fuselage - the surface of the wind tunnel channel, on which the boundary layer is formed, a comb for its measurement, a flap for air intake and supply through a special receiver device to the model of the air intake of the auxiliary gas turbine engine, a comb for measuring the characteristics of the air intake of the auxiliary gas turbine engine and a throttle-flow meter that regulates the amount of intake air.
EFFECT: creation of the device for testing the model of the air intake device of the auxiliary power unit with the complete modeling of the design of the auxiliary power unit and its operating conditions.
