FIELD: aerosol generating device.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating system. The aerosol generating device with a housing containing a cavity configured to receive an aerosol generating substance. The heater is configured to heat the aerosol generating substance inserted in the cavity. The substance sensor is configured to detect the change in inductance that occurs in response to insertion into the cavity and separation of the substance from the cavity to generate aerosol. The controller is configured to determine whether the aerosol generating substance is separated from the cavity based on the degree of inductance change while the electric power supply to the heater is blocked. It is possible to automatically turn off the heater, prevent overheating of the aerosol generation device and reduce power consumption.
EFFECT: prevention of overheating of the aerosol generation device for and reduction of power consumption.
