SUBSTANCE: method for decoding an image is claimed, which includes the following steps: determine the mode of intra-frame prediction of the current block; and convert the intra-prediction mode to a wide-angle intra-prediction mode if the value of the intra-prediction mode is not greater than a threshold value and the current block is a non-square block with a width greater than the height.
EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring efficient performance of intra-frame prediction in relation to the target encoding/decoding block when encoding/decoding a video signal.
