SUBSTANCE: drilling rig comprises a floor of the drilling rig, the first and second supporting structures, a mast tower, a lower drilling machine, a continuous drilling unit, an upper drilling machine and an upper pole mast assembly. The rig floor includes a V-door defining a V-door axis extending perpendicularly from the side of the rig floor that includes the V-door. The first and second support structures define a transverse corridor having a transverse corridor axis, wherein the axis of the transverse corridor is perpendicular to the axis of the V-shaped door. The drilling rig can be used for continuous drilling of a wellbore.
EFFECT: invention provides unhindered movement of tubular elements and other tools during tripping operations, as well as unhindered location of ground equipment.
