SUBSTANCE: to form an implant receiving hole, the bur has an apical end, a coronal end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the apical end and the coronal end; a central part of the bur located circumferentially around the longitudinal axis and containing at least a section with a non-circular or non-cylindrical profile, when viewed in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the section with a non-circular or non-cylindrical profile, forms at least one first compression zone; a first cutting edge; and a guide thread that extends radially outward from the central portion of the bur. In this case, the bur may be included in a set of parts containing a bur and a dental implant.
EFFECT: inventions allow to reduce the number of instruments and burs in such a way that the accuracy of hole formation does not suffer in the whole range of situations related to bone quality, density and/or orientation.
