FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: ventilation of underground mines and shafts. In the device for creating an air curtain at the mouth of the mine ventilation shaft, which includes a fan sucking air from the shaft through the ventilation duct, an annular chamber with air outlet holes in the mouth of the shaft, an air duct configured to bypass air from the outgoing fan jet into the annular chamber, a reducing of duct providing a smooth entry of the outgoing jet into the air duct, the annular chamber is located inside the ventilation shaft, and the reducing of duct is installed for movement in the cross section of the outgoing jet.
EFFECT: reduction of the cost of erecting and maintaining the annular chamber of the device by decreasing its dimensions and weight, and providing the ability to quickly control the parameters of the air curtain by changing the dynamic pressure at the inlet to the reducing of duct.
