FIELD: experimental medicine; pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for modeling of acquired long QT syndrome in experimental animals. The method is characterized by the fact that toxic damage to the heart in animals is caused by intragastric administration of a complex of the following drugs in 0.1% starch gel daily for 2 weeks: 36 mg/kg of moxifloxacin, 36 mg/kg of bedaquiline, 27 mg/kg of clofazimine, 45 mg/kg of clarithromycin. Non-linear female rats aged 10–12 months weighing 300–330 g are used as experimental animals.
EFFECT: invention allows in a short time and with minimal overall toxicity for laboratory animals to create a model of acquired long QT syndrome by influencing HERG-receptors of potassium channels.
