METHOD FOR MODELING ACQUIRED LONG QT INTERVAL SYNDROME USING COMPLEX OF ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS AND ANTIMICROBIAL DRUGS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2794488 C1

FIELD: experimental medicine; pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for modeling of acquired long QT syndrome in experimental animals. The method is characterized by the fact that toxic damage to the heart in animals is caused by intragastric administration of a complex of the following drugs in 0.1% starch gel daily for 2 weeks: 36 mg/kg of moxifloxacin, 36 mg/kg of bedaquiline, 27 mg/kg of clofazimine, 45 mg/kg of clarithromycin. Non-linear female rats aged 10–12 months weighing 300–330 g are used as experimental animals.

EFFECT: invention allows in a short time and with minimal overall toxicity for laboratory animals to create a model of acquired long QT syndrome by influencing HERG-receptors of potassium channels.
