FIELD: membrane roofing systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an insulating element for thermal and/or sound insulation of a flat or flat sloped roof. The insulating element (4) consists of the first layer (5) made of mineral wool and the second layer (6) made of at least one fibrous material, while the second layer (6) is attached to the main surface (7) of the first layer (5) using an adhesive (9), wherein the first layer (5) is made of at least one strip having a fibre orientation predominantly perpendicular to the main surfaces (8) of the second layer (6), while the first layer (5) contains a cured binder, adhesive (9) is partially placed in the area (10) between the fibres near the main surface (7) of the first layer (5), directed to the second layer (6), and in the area (11) near the main surface (8) of the second layer (6) directed towards the first layer (5), so that the adhesive (9) connects the first layer (5) and the second layer (6) so that forces directed perpendicular to the second layer (6) can be compensated by tensile strength of the second layer (6) in combination and with the adhesive (9) and/or the bending of the fibres of the first layer (5), causing maximum deformation ≤ of 5% of the thickness of the first and second layers (5).
EFFECT: invention provides an improvement in the mechanical characteristics of a lamellar insulating element (strip) made of mineral wool, preferably with regard to the stability of the insulating element under distributed static loads, as well as a method for manufacturing a lamellar insulating element made of mineral wool, which is light, but mechanically strong, easy to handle and can be applied quickly and only in one layer even at high thicknesses.
