FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: compositions of alloys of high electrical resistance of the iron-chromium-aluminum system can be used for the production of wire intended for the manufacture of heating elements for industrial, laboratory and household electric furnaces, other thermal electrical equipment, as well as resistance elements of various devices. The alloy contains, wt.%: carbon 0.010-0.040, silicon 0.0005-0.40, manganese 0.0005-0.20, chromium 20.0-30.0, aluminum 5.0-7.0, zirconium 0 ,10-0.20, yttrium 0.10-0.20, iron and impurities - the rest. As impurities, the alloy contains, wt.%: vanadium, tungsten, molybdenum, nickel, titanium, copper, niobium, cobalt in an amount of NMT 0.05 each, sulfur NMT 0.010, phosphorus NMT 0.020, lead NMT 0.010, tin NMT 0.010, arsenic NMT 0.010 and zinc NMT 0.010.
EFFECT: wire from an alloy of the specified composition has the required level of survivability, high electrical resistivity, ductility and strength in the absence of severely scarce and expensive alloying additives.
