FIELD: optoelectronics and precision instruments.
SUBSTANCE: diffusion welding method may be used to make glass-to-metal structures in the optoelectronics and precision instruments industries. An intermediate layer is placed between the glass and molybdenum alloy parts to be welded. Method variants involve using aluminium foil or aluminium and titanium as an intermediate layer. The intermediate layer can be deposited on the surface of the glass and the molybdenum alloy by spraying. Welding is performed at a temperature below the glass softening temperature of 600°C and an exposure time of 30 min with the required welding pressure applied.
EFFECT: invention provides possibility to preserve physical and mechanical properties of the welded materials, obtain welded joint with the required strength characteristics, which are as follows: the assemblies obtained after diffusion welding shall have no glass part macroplastic deformation and provide tightness of joints at the level of 5⋅10-12 m3⋅Pa/s to 1⋅10-10 m3⋅Pa/s.
