FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diffusion welding. Method includes cleaning parts made of stainless steel and membrane from palladium foil or palladium alloy with electric polishing. Assembling into a stack. Nickel foil is used as an intermediate layer. Placed in a vacuum chamber. Heating. Welding pressure is applied, and maintained isothermally. Welding is performed in vacuum of not less than 5·10-5 mmHg at temperature T=930-980°C with holding for 30-45 minutes, welding pressure is applied, which provides plastic deformation of intermediate layer at 50% of its initial thickness. Invention enables to make helium-impermeable wall of membrane element, which is used for production of ultrapure hydrogen (99.9999 vol%).
EFFECT: need for such hydrogen for hydrogen power engineering and high technologies.
