FIELD: vulcanizing chevron belt.

SUBSTANCE: chevron belt vulcanization method, in which the initial configuration of the chevron pattern is formed, for which locations of the matrix elements are marked on the rubber belt, said places are degreased and a hot vulcanization solution is applied to them. In the cavity for laying rubber inside the matrix elements, raw rubber is laid, the matrix elements are placed at specified intervals according to the planned locations of the chevrons on the rubber belt, the matrix is placed on top of the lower part of the press, pressure is applied to the matrix with heating by means of the upper part of the press, forming a chevron pattern in the area of the rubber belt on which matrix elements are placed. After that, the above actions are repeated for the next section of the rubber belt, while changing the configuration of the chevron pattern, for which new locations of the matrix elements are marked and the configuration of the matrix elements corresponding to them is formed, obtaining a non-periodic chevron pattern on the rubber belt. At the same time, during formation of a chevron pattern on a section of the rubber belt, the matrix is affected by a pressure of 0.1 to 10 atm at a temperature of 150 to 180°C for 20 to 60 minutes.

EFFECT: expansion of technological capabilities for manufacturing of chevron belts, as well as an increase in the number of options for chevron patterns when using a limited number of template elements.
