FIELD: manufacture of linear articles with volumetric pattern, for example, carpet coverings used in motor industry, construction, etc. SUBSTANCE: the blank of a linear article is placed on framework-knitted synthetic fabric, and the blank together with the fabric is fed to a curing drum under an endless pressing band. Use is made of a sink roll installed before the gap between the curing drum and synthetic fabric and a pressure roll successively installed past it before the endless pressing band. The blank on the framework-knitted fabric is fed to the sink roll, and the blank is preheated for turning it into a plastic state in the section between the sink and pressure rolls. Preliminary molding of the blank in the plastic state is accomplished by means of the pressure roll. EFFECT: enhanced quality of linear articles, preserved integrity of the rubber layer at continuous vulcanization. 3 cl, 1 dwg
