FIELD: laser technology.
SUBSTANCE: liquid laser contains a closed hydraulic path with an active liquid based on an aprotic solvent with rare-earth ions, an active liquid excitation chamber, diode pumping, a heat exchanger, a liquid pump, a pressure compensator and an optical resonator, the chamber consists of a set of parallel round disks transparent to radiation, with a hole in the centre for pumping fluid, the discs are installed with a gap and mounted on the rotation shaft by means of the lowermost disc, the gaps are set so that the Reynolds number of the fluid is not more than 1300, the discs are equipped with rings with bridges in form of a wing, the shaft is connected to an electric drive, a hydraulic path has windows transparent to radiation, located opposite one another on both sides of the laser chamber and forming two optical channels for pumping the active liquid and generating laser radiation, dichroic rotary mirrors are installed in the channels, passing the working laser radiation and reflecting the pump radiation, the optical resonator is common for two opposite channels, its optical axes in the channels are optically conjugated by rotary mirrors, one of the end mirrors of the resonator is the output mirror.
EFFECT: improved optical homogeneity of the active medium.
