FIELD: physics; optics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to quantum electronics, particularly to devices for generating and amplifying laser radiation using liquid active media, including for closed non-circulated volumes. The liquid laser has an air-tight case, liquid active medium, two optical pumping sources, a heat exchanger with a coolant, apparatus for circulating the liquid active medium and the coolant, an optical resonator, between the mirrors of which a case is put. Output windows of the case, which are transparent for the generation radiation, are opposite the resonator mirrors. Inside the case there is an active liquid medium and a heat exchanger with a coolant. One apparatus for circulation is in form of ultrasonic emitters which can circulate the active liquid medium and the coolant on a loop inside the case. The heat exchanger is in form of two sealed partition walls made from material with good thermal conductivity, equipped with hollow cooling fins and located on both sides of the zone of generation. In the inner cavities of the cooling fins, there is a passive part of the volume of the active liquid medium, and in the outer cavities there is coolant. In each partition wall there is a channel: an inlet channel on one and an outlet channel on the other. The inlet and outlet channels on the case are made with provision for efficient exchange of coolant.
EFFECT: increased pulse repetition frequency, increased average and specific power of the laser radiation and improvement of homogeneity of the laser radiation in the cross section.
