FIELD: measuring methods.

SUBSTANCE: means for measuring force based on elastic elements. The invention is used to measure the shaft torque magnitude. Shaft torque measurement device comprises a rotor including inner and outer cores mounted on the shaft coaxially to each other; a shaft equipped with an elastic element that provides a relative displacement of the inner and outer cores when the shaft is loaded with a torque; a stator provided with poles on which induction coils are located; an electronic measuring circuit configured to convert the magnitude of the relative displacement of the inner and outer cores into an information signal characterizing the magnitude of said displacement. The inner core is made toothed, with its teeth facing the outer core; the outer core is provided with radially arranged poles made of magnetic material.

EFFECT: ensuring stable accuracy of the measured torque, regardless of the shaft rotation speed, including at zero rotation speed, and also regardless of the shaft rotation direction.
