SUBSTANCE: device (1) for restoring the deformed portion (5) of the beverage preparation capsule (2) to a shape that essentially corresponds to its original shape. The device (1) contains a support surface (7; 34) configured to accommodate the capsule (2), a bending device (27; 47) configured to interact with the deformed section (5) of the capsule (2), and a drive device (11; 43) for the relative movement of the bending device (27; 47) and at least part of the supporting surface (7; 34) to restore the deformed section (5) of the capsule (2) by the bending device (27; 47) to a shape that, at least substantially corresponds to its original form.
EFFECT: simple and inexpensive device for restoring a deformed portion of a beverage preparation capsule to a shape that substantially corresponds to the original shape, in order to overcome the disadvantage described above.
