FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: turning tool consists of a rotary mandrel, on the end of which the cutting plate is fixed. The cut-off tool for turning consists of a head in the form of a plate with a cutting element and a cylindrical holder with a built-in vibration damper. The axis of the vibration damper is parallel to the line of intersection of the main plane of the cutter and the plane of the head. The head includes a pusher parallel to the axis of the vibration damper. The head of the cutter is made with a transverse groove open to its side surfaces. The pusher is configured for interaction with the side surface of the groove.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of vibration reduction during its use.
