SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a carboxylate compound of formula (1) wherein R is an alkyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, which can be used as a raw material for flavoring compositions and which has a fruity flavor, to a flavoring composition containing it, and to a method of receiving it. The method for preparing the compound of formula 1 consists in reaction of the compound represented by formula (2) with carbon monoxide in the presence of hydrogen fluoride, followed by reaction with an alcohol having 2 to 6 carbon atoms.

EFFECT: obtaining a compound of a carboxic acid ether.
