FIELD: aircraft engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to systems for active control of radial clearances (SACRC) in gas turbine engines. The proposed method for adjusting the radial clearance is based on predictive modelling, in which the mathematical model makes an ongoing estimate of the radial clearance value based on the recorded parameters of the running engine, and also calculates the required forward clearance value for a certain time period, which enables setting the operating conditions of SACRC in advance for optimization gaps during the transition process and when entering a new stationary mode, as well as to prevent the rotor from cutting into the stator.
EFFECT: optimization of values of radial clearances in the turbine with sufficient accuracy in all engine operating modes, including non-standard ones (for example, flying around a thunderstorm front), with early prevention of the rotor cutting into the stator in the absence of fundamental changes in the design of existing serial systems (the use of thermal systems) makes it possible to increase efficiency of turbine and reduce specific fuel consumption, as well as reduce the cost of repairing blades and stator sectors due to prevention of the rotor cutting into the stator.
