FIELD: air supply systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an air supply system applicable to polar ships operating in the polar regions, capable of supplying cold outdoor air to an on-board air consumption point in polar conditions, and having a simple structure to achieve high energy efficiency and low cost operation. The air supply system of the polar ship comprises: an air intake chamber configured to suck in combustion air to be supplied to the engine and outside air to be supplied to the engine room housing the engine; an air heater configured to heat outside air by heat exchange between outside air sucked into the intake chamber and exhaust gas exhausted from the engine; and a fan room, in which at least one fan is located, configured to supply air heated by the air heater to the engine and an air consumption site containing an engine room, the fan room is equipped with an engine supply fan configured to supply heated air as air for combustion in the engine; an engine room supply fan configured to supply heated air as engine room air conditioning air; and a supply fan of the place of additional consumption, made with the possibility of supplying heated air to other places of air consumption located on board.
EFFECT: air supply system applicable to polar ships operating in the polar regions, capable of supplying cold outdoor air to an on-board air consumption point in polar conditions, and having a simple structure to achieve high energy efficiency and low cost operation.
