METHOD OF APPLYING MATERIAL TO PAINTWORK Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC C09G1/02

Abstract RU 2796353 C1

FIELD: paintwork.

SUBSTANCE: manual application of a material to a paintwork. Invention relates specifically to paintwork for removing scratches and colour defects on the surface of vehicles and gelcoat structures. A method of applying material to a paintwork, previously prepared and dust-free, manually with an applicator consisting of a filler impregnated with a prepared composition and a covering, in several cycles of horizontal, vertical or circular movements. At the same time, the covering is made of non-woven polyester, and the filler is made of durable lint-free white fiber, at a temperature of 18-28°C, air humidity no more than 75%, pressure of 210-350 g is applied to the applicator at a speed of movement of the applicator over the surface from 35 to 50 cm/s, visually controlling the covering ability of the resulting covering and spreading the applied composition over the element under uniform illumination with a light source with a glow temperature of 5700-6400 K, the material is layered on the surface to be treated, gradually moving the applicator along the surface by 1/3 of its width, the application is made in a circular motion over a section of 18-22 cm2, passing along one trajectory no more than three times, periodically as material is consumed within 1-2 seconds a fresh portion of the material is added to the working surface of the applicator, tearing it off the surface.

EFFECT: simplification of restoration and subsequent protection of damaged painted surfaces while maintaining the integrity of the previously existing original paint coating without cyclic abrasive polishing with pastes, while after applying a thin layer coating on the restored surface, an absolutely transparent permanent protective layer of 7-10 microns is formed.
