FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the section of sealing technology, and can be used as a sealing device for any movable cylindrical element that monitors the change in the linear dimensions of materials in the operating temperature range. The sealing device includes an annular rubber sealing element placed in a rectangular annular groove. The groove is made in a movable part, which moves during operation due to interaction with the temperature compensation system. A PTFE gasket is additionally installed in the annular groove on the side of the sealed body. The gasket more than half covers the annular rubber element, while the width of the gasket is selected in the range from 1.1 to 1.4 of the width of the annular groove.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the device by increasing the working life and expanding the operating temperature range.
