FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of engineering, namely to the section sealing technique, and can be used as a sealing device for any movable cylindrical element that tracks the change in linear dimensions of materials in the range of operating temperatures. Inventive sealing device contains a sealing ring installed in a cylindrical bore with ensuring sealing on four surfaces. To ensure constant compression of the sealing ring, a temperature compensation system is introduced in the sealing device, which allows tracking the movement of the moving part of the sealing element and ensuring sealing over the entire range of operating temperatures. To increase the reliability of sealing, the volume of the annular groove should be less than the volume of the sealing ring. Volume of the groove is chosen from the ratio Vgroove=(0.80÷0.95)⋅Vring.
EFFECT: invention allows to provide reliable sealing of moving parts and to ensure the operation of the sealing device at negative and positive temperatures of operation.
