FIELD: chemical technology of surfactants.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing fatty acid diethanolamides used as surfactants. The method is carried out by the interaction of diethanolamine and fatty acids under the influence of microwave radiation and is characterized by the fact that the loading of fatty acids in the form of individual substances or mixtures having from 10 to 24 carbon atoms is carried out in steps. The reaction mass in the molar ratio of reagents fatty acids : diethanolamine, equal to 0.5: (0.9–1.2), is heated to a given temperature, after reaching a given temperature, the remaining amount of fatty acids from the calculated amount is added to the reaction mixture until the ratio of fatty acids is established acid: diethanolamine, equal to 1.0: (0.9–1.2).
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to provide a method of obtaining a high-quality product with a small amount of impurities and a high degree of conversion of the initial components, as well as low time, functional and energy costs.
