FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrophysical studies of rock samples based on the determination of the total porosity by recording the NMR signal from the hydrogen atoms of the liquid, completely saturating their pore space. A device for examining a core is claimed, comprising a body of a core holder, an upper and a lower plunger for axial compression of the core with channels for inlet and outlet of the active agent, upper and lower support flanges, split rings and fixing flanges, a jack with a body for attaching to the lower support flange. The lower support flange has an outer seating surface with a groove on the outer circular surface for installing a sealing rubber ring for sealing with the core holder body, and on the inner circular surface it has a groove for installing a rubber sealing ring with a lower plunger. The upper support flange has a similar outer seating surface with a groove on the outer circular surface for installing a sealing rubber ring for sealing with the core holder body and an inner circular surface with a groove for installing a rubber sealing ring with an upper plunger. The measuring coil of the radio frequency probe is additionally introduced into the core holder body, which is located in the middle part inside the body and connected to the lower support flange, in which there are two threaded through holes for installing sealed electrical leads, to which the leads of the radio frequency probe coil are connected from the inside of the core holder body and leads of the capacitor from the outside of the lower support flange, which is located in the annular cavity between the lower support flange and the lower plunger. The upper and lower support flanges have holes into which tubes for supplying a hydrogen-free liquid are inserted and connected to them by welding. In the middle of the upper plunger there is a flange of a larger diameter, which abuts against the inner ledge of the upper support flange and is pressed against this ledge with a nut in its upper part, and under the flange of the upper plunger there is a groove for a rubber ring that seals the upper plunger and the upper support flange. Moreover, the device additionally comprises stops at the top and bottom of the core, tightly pressed to its ends before being installed in the core holder body. At the same time, the stops and the core are connected into a single structure using a tube made of heat-shrinkable material, the stops comprise grooves for installing rubber rings at the junctions of the stops with the upper and lower plungers configured for sealing the volumes inside the core holder body and the volume of the internal channel of the plunger, as well as grooves for rubber rings for sealing the core sample when it is compressed with a heat shrink tube. The jack of the device is two-way and configured compressing the core between the plungers and moving it along the axis of the core holder body.
EFFECT: increased reliability and functionality of the device for investigating the porosity of the core in reservoir conditions.
