FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: intervertebral disc replacement device includes a cage and screw assembly, as well as a means for inserting and removing the cage. The cage is a block-shaped body with bases intended for contact with adjacent vertebrae, in the front wall of which there is a pair of through holes with screw threads for installing screws, one of which is directed towards one base and is intended for fixation in the upper vertebra adjacent to the cage, and the other is directed towards the other base and is intended for fixation in the lower vertebra adjacent to the cage. Between the through holes for installing screws in the front wall of the block-shaped body there is an additional through hole with a screw thread. The block-shaped body around the through holes for installing screws and an additional through hole with a screw thread is made monolithic. The block-shaped body has a through hole between the bases. The screw thread for installing screws in a pair of through holes of a block-shaped body is a two-start conical thread. The screw thread on the head of the screws is also a two-start conical thread.
EFFECT: invention provides reduction of cage rigidity, namely, cage rigidity approaching anatomical rigidity of the cortical bone layer, increased reliability of the cage installation, since the cage is fused with the bones of adjacent vertebrae (osseointegration), increased accuracy of the cage installation, increased ease of installation (improved visibility of the surgical field during cage positioning in an interbody defect), reducing trauma and expanding the range of products for this purpose as tools for positioning, installation of body-replaced implants for the spine.
