FIELD: membranes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to proton-conducting polymeric membranes that are used in solid polymer fuel cells. Proton-conducting membranes consisting of a copolymer based on sodium 4-styrenesulfonate and N,N-methylenebisacrylamide, and a method for producing proton-conducting membranes, consisting in the synthesis of copolymers of sodium 4-styrenesulfonate and N,N-methylenebisacrylamide in the presence of potassium persulfate, cooling the resulting reaction mass, and its uniform distribution on the surface of a glass or lavsan substrate, followed by membrane structuring by drying the reaction mass in air, followed by heat treatment in an oven and keeping in 0.1 N hydrochloric acid solution for 24 hours to convert them into an acidic form.
EFFECT: increased specific electrical conductivity of the resulting proton-conducting membranes without using solvents and precipitants.
