FIELD: ultrasonic testing.
SUBSTANCE: acoustic contact in ultrasonic non-destructive testing of extended metal structures. Tthe contact liquid for ultrasonic testing includes isopropyl alcohol, distilled water, acetone, decanal, rhodamine B in the following ratio, wt.%: isopropyl alcohol 80±2.0, acetone 9.9±2.0, aldehyde C10 (decanal) 0.1±0.01, rhodamine B 0.0001±0.00002, distilled water is the rest.
EFFECT: ensuring acoustic contact of the flaw detector with the surface of the rail and welds in a wide temperature range (up to minus 90°C) with the safety of the functioning of the rolling stock, the equipment used, employees who carry out flaw detection of the superstructure of the railway tracks.
